Graco Ultra Quickshot II Airless Sprayer

Graco QuickShot II Overview

The Graco QuickShot II is the latest evolution of Graco's popular cordless airless spray system, designed for professional decorators, contractors, kitchen painters, furniture finishers and maintenance teams who need exceptional control, portability, and finish quality.

Building on the success of the original QuickShot, the QuickShot II introduces major reliability and performance improvements that make it easier to use, easier to maintain, and more dependable on site.

Whether you're spraying trim, doors, cabinetry, feature walls, shop fittings, or detailed finishing work, the QuickShot II delivers the precision of a fine finish sprayer with the convenience of a cordless platform.

What's New on the Graco QuickShot II?

Improved Pump Design for Greater Reliability

One of the biggest upgrades is the redesigned pump assembly.

Graco has replaced several plastic internal components with hardwearing steel parts, significantly increasing durability and reducing wear over time. This means fewer repairs, less downtime, and lower maintenance costs for professional users who rely on their equipment every day.

If you've ever experienced pump wear from frequent use, the QuickShot 2 has been specifically engineered to address that concern.

If you've ever experienced pump wear from frequent use, the QuickShot 2 has been specifically engineered to address that concern.

Built-In Fluid Filtration System

The QuickShot II now features an integrated fluid filter designed to protect the spray system from contaminants before they reach the tip.

Combined with the redesigned inlet strainer, this upgraded filtration system helps ensure that 100% of the material entering the pump is filtered.

The result?

• Fewer tip blockages
• More consistent spray patterns
• Reduced interruptions during spraying
• Improved finish quality

For professional finishers, this means more time spraying and less time clearing blockages.

Improved Inlet Strainer

The new inlet strainer design improves material flow while providing more effective filtration.

By capturing debris before it enters the system, the QuickShot 2 helps reduce common spraying issues caused by contamination, particularly when working with thicker coatings or heavily pigmented materials.

Why Has the Pump Speed Control Been Moved?

On the original QuickShot, pump speed adjustment was located on the gun.

The QuickShot 2 relocates this control to the included waist belt, creating a lighter, better-balanced spray gun.

Benefits include:

• Reduced hand fatigue
• Improved control during detailed work
• Better ergonomics for extended spraying sessions
• Faster access to pump settings

The waist belt is included as standard, providing a comfortable and practical way to carry the system while working.

Does the QuickShot II Use the Same Gun as the PowerShot XT?

The QuickShot 2 now features the same spray gun platform used on the PowerShot XT system.

This introduces another major benefit: a user-replaceable needle nozzle assembly.

If the nozzle becomes worn or damaged, users can replace it themselves without the need for complex servicing, helping minimise downtime and maintenance costs.

Improved Trigger Solenoid Design

Graco has also upgraded the trigger solenoid system for improved reliability.

This critical component plays an important role in spray performance and responsiveness. The redesigned solenoid helps deliver more consistent operation and greater long-term durability, particularly for contractors who use the machine regularly.

What Materials Can You Spray Through the QuickShot ll?

The QuickShot 2 is capable of spraying a wide range of professional coatings, but material selection is critical.

For the best results:

• Use high-quality spray-grade coatings.
• Follow the manufacturer's technical data sheet.
• Check recommended tip sizes and pressure settings.
• Purchase materials from reputable specialist paint suppliers where possible.

Avoid Cheap, Unrefined Paints

One of the most common causes of spraying issues is poor-quality material.

Cheap paints often contain larger particles, inconsistent pigmentation, and insufficient refinement, which can lead to:

• Tip blockages
• Poor atomisation
• Uneven finish quality
• Increased wear on equipment

The QuickShot 2 is a professional spraying system. To achieve professional results, use professional-grade coatings.

If in doubt, speak to your paint supplier and ask specifically for spray-grade products.

During product testing with a coating manufacturer, Spray Plant UK discovered that some materials sprayed successfully, but initially produced a finish that was slightly more eggshell in appearance than expected.

By making simple adjustments such as:

• Increasing tip size
• Adjusting pressure settings
• Fine-tuning material flow

the finish quality was significantly improved.

This highlights an important principle of airless spraying:

The sprayer, coating, tip size, and pressure settings must work together.

What to Think About Before Starting a Job?

Regardless of experience level, a test spray should be carried out whenever:

• You are using a new coating.
• You are using a new tip size.
• You are using new equipment.
• You are spraying an unfamiliar surface.
• You are changing pressure settings.

A simple test panel can save hours of rework and prevent costly mistakes once you're on site.

Professional sprayers know that preparation is often the difference between a good finish and an exceptional finish.
